La Taberna del Campero
With a more informal style and somewhat more affordable prices, Taberna del Campero is the little sister of the restaurant El Campero de Barbate, the great temple of bluefin tuna and probably the best restaurant in Barbate. Located in the center of town, right in front of the tobacconist and about 50 meters from the Levante Apartments, its neat seafaring decor is a tribute to the trades of the sea. It is ideal for tapas and specializes in traditional cuisine with an Asian touch. Their rice dishes are also impressive. They have a barbecue grill. Maybe it is not to go every day but highly recommended.

Also known simply as «Juanito» is a great reference in the village and is one of the busiest restaurants in Zahara. Everyone knows it and visiting it is almost obligatory. It is located in the most commercial street in the center of town, very close to the Levante Apartments.
It has two premises facing each other, a traditional restaurant and a brewery ideal for cold tapas.

A tiny restaurant that is a gem and has quickly become one of the best restaurants in Zahara de los Atunes thanks to the effort and affection of Marina, its young owner. Its decoration made with antique pieces is both traditional and modern at the same time. They offer international cuisine based on the highest quality ingredients that are usually accompanied by bread baked by themselves. A unique gastronomic offer in the area that exudes more than love, passion for a job well done. They renew the menu frequently and it is better to call to make a reservation. You will discover why a couple of computer scientists left Madrid and their profession to come to Zahara to brew beer and small dishes full of grace and good humor in an old Citroen van from the year of Mari Castaña. You won’t regret it and you will leave with a smile on your face.

6 Grifos (Barbate)
For us one of the best restaurants in Barbate. It is located next to a flamenco club and a fountain with 6 spouts to which it owes its name. If it’s nice and there is room, sit on the large terrace and order something cool to drink while you take a look at the menu. Be sure to listen to the dishes off the menu but we usually order squid, house salad and lobster rice.

Peña El Atún (Barbate)
As the website of El Español says: «Michelin star dishes on paper tablecloths». And with very good service and price, what more could you ask for? One of the great secrets of Barbate. It is not usual to find people from outside in the Peña el Atún because it is outside the most touristy areas but you should not miss it because it is where the locals go when they want to eat well without leaving their salary.
