A couple in love with Zahara
I am Miguel, a fifty year old man from Santander so in love with this land that I came to live here as my fellow countrymen did before me: Los Chicucos.
Teresa is that beautiful girl in the picture, my better half, who as such could only be from Valencia. She loves flowers, sunsets and tortillitas de camarones. She gets excited about almost anything and when she smiles I can’t stop looking at her.
We love Zahara and we are convinced that you will love her too. We pride ourselves on spoiling our guests and going out of our way to make sure they enjoy themselves in our vacation rental in Zahara de los Atunes. After all we are lucky to work and live in the best town in the world and it shows.

The history of
LA CASITA DE CHOCOLATE
This is how the locals refer to our small apartment building. This is its history.
Back in 1974, Horst Mankel, a German architect came to Zahara for a job interview. He immediately fell in love with the village and never left, becoming one of the first foreigners to settle in Zahara, earning the respect and affection of all.
To him we owe practically the current image of the town because he was the author of, among other projects: The Hotel Antonio and the Gran Sol, the Doña Lola, El Pozo del Duque, the Abastos market and more than sixty villas, in addition to the tuna that adorn the traffic circle at the entrance to the village.
